What can I expect of your house cleaning services?
You can expect the highest quality and care when our professionals step into your home. We guarantee 100% satisfaction, which means that if you feel we have neglected an area of your home please notify us within 48 hours and we will send someone out immediately to re-clean those areas.
What products will you use to clean my home?
We use only non-toxic, biodegradable products throughout your house cleaning from companies that list their ingredients and are guaranteed safe for you and your family. We are proud to be partners with Better Life for all of our cleaning products.
Do I need to provide anything prior to my cleaning?
We come equipped with basic cleaning supplies, however we ask that you provide certain items for sanitary reasons. This includes a microfiber mop for wood floors, toilet bowl brushes, a step stool, and a vacuum. We will be happy to provide these items at an additional charge (with the exception of a vacuum), but please let us know so at the time of your booking.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Most of our clients are not home at the time of their cleaning service. You may have a preference of whether you would like to let us in before you leave for work or provide a key or entry code.
Are you pet-friendly?
Absolutely! We love pets and are used to working around them. If your pet has a tendency to get anxious around people, we recommend leaving them outside or in a kennel during your service. Please inform us of any special requests regarding your pet’s care and safety at the time of your booking.
Are you insured?
Our insurance is the best available. With $2,000,000 in liability coverage, crime and employee accident coverage. your home, our team members and The Welcome Home Company are included in the coverage. If you’d like, we will send you a certificate validating our insurance.
What happens if a cleaner is injured at home during the cleaning?
By entrusting your home with a professional service company like The Welcome Home Co., you do not incur the liability if someone is injured on your property. We are fully insured for such circumstances and our employees are covered under a workers compensation plan. Those who hire an uninsured individual to work in their home open themselves to a lot of risk.
Do your cleaners speak English?
Yes, our employees read and speak English. You will be able to communicate any of your needs to us and we will make sure your requests and expectations are clearly understood.
Are they background checked?
Absolutely! We go to great lengths to only hire law abiding, trustworthy individuals and make sure that they remain honest in all they do while they work for us by doing local and national background checks.

Why we use green products?
It is becoming more and more evident that indoor air quality is just as important to our health as outdoor air quality, and can often be two to five times worse. Harsh chemicals that are found in most commercial cleaning products and anything containing chlorine or ammonia are the biggest cause of indoor air pollutants. By using non-toxic, biodegradable products you dramatically reduce health risks for you and your family, as well as the health of rivers and streams and oceans and ultimately our environment. You can make a difference.
Do you accept credit cards?
The Welcome Home Co accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover, and payment is due at time of service. If you wish to pay by credit card, you will be asked to fill out an authorization form that we will keep on file. We offer discounts if you would like to pre-pay for your regular scheduled services. Pre-pay options include monthly, every 6 months or every year.
Do you reward for referrals?
Yes we do! We will give you a free cleaning for every new client you refer to us that becomes a weekly or bi-monthly client. For clients that sign up for monthly service, we give you a $50 credit.
Will I be able to have the same cleaner every visit?
We make every effort to have the same cleaning staff member in your home. Occasionally there may be a change in a staff member due to illness or vacation. We will let you know so that you may chose to wait for your cleaner to return or have another staff member perform your cleaning that day.
What if I need to cancel a cleaning?
We understand that an unforeseen event may occur which will create a need to cancel your scheduled cleaning appointment. If, for any reason, you need to change your scheduled appointment, please give us 48 hour notice when possible. Once we take a reservation, we hold that time slot open for you and turn away other potential clients in order to ensure your appointment. For repeated cancellations of less than 48 hours of notice, we will charge the full amount of the cleaning.
Should I tip my cleaner?
Tipping is neither required nor expected. If you do choose to leave a tip, please make it clear that it is such and leave it on the outside of the envelope with your payment. Our staff are not allowed to take any money that would not be clearly marked as a tip. Tips may also be added to your credit card charge. A typical tip would be 15-20% of your service charge.
