I can almost taste Spring. The weather is getting warmer, and the sun is beginning to linger in the sky a bit longer in the evening allowing us the promise of the new season. That being said, with Spring on it’s way, I feel it is necessary to do some “Spring cleaning,” so to speak, of my wardrobe. I took an older shirt of mine from my closet, and ‘cleaned’ it up with some pearl trim purchased from Jo-Ann Fabrics. Below are the supplies I used.
First I lined the edge of the shirt collar with the pearl trim, and held it in place with pins. Then I went along the edge of the lace with a hot glue gun putting hot glue on the shirt roughly 3 inch strips of hot glue at a time, then pressing the lace on top of the hot glue until it hardened. I repeated that until the entire collar was lined with with the trim.
Next I made a bow with another piece of pearl trim I measured out. I used a needle and thread to stitch the loops of the bow below the collar onto the shirt.
Washing instructions: Wash on a cold gentle cycle with whites, hang to dry.
Fashion tip: When wearing white, its best to wear nude undergarments, not white.
See ya later Winter!
