Rainy Day Booties

You can add these to the list of things I now keep in my car.

As a Realtor, I practically live in my car. I call it my ‘office on wheels’ because I have everything in there that I need to do my job. Since I am constantly on the road, I’m prepared with a wide variety of common items I might need in case the occasion arises: blank contracts, measuring tape, flashlight, spare batteries, a change of clothes- things like that.

Lately, the weather where I live has been a mix of rain and sun. You’d wake up and it would be bright and sunny but a few hours later change to thunderstorms. I recently learned that one of my friends and colleagues keeps a spare set of boots in her trunk which I thought was genius. I can’t tell you how many times I was at an inspection where the ground was mucky, but I wasn’t wearing the appropriate shoes.

Earlier this spring, while shopping in Marshalls, I came across these amazing cream colored rain booties. It was like they were just standing there waiting for me. They are cute, practical and comfortable. Best of all, they keep my feet dry and they are easy to clean. If I see that the radar calls for rain later in the day, I’ll toss these in my car and change into them if necessary. Hands down, these booties have been the best purchase I’ve made this year. They make a great addition to the list of items I now keep in my car!

It might seem silly, but for me, keeping these rain booties in my car has made a big difference in feeling prepared. We have had a particularly rainy summer, so I’ve gotten great use of them. I’ve even changed into them while wearing a dress. And now that the season is changing again, I’m considering purchasing another pair in a different color since I wear them so often!
