Lately, Brandon and I have been having a lot of fun taking evening bike rides together. It’s been so long since I’ve ridden a bike, that moseying along through our neighborhood, discovering streets and roads we didn’t know existed, brought me back to before I could drive a car. It was so nice feeling the cool of the air brush across my face and arms as we rode down hills, and even the burn of riding up hills felt good. (It took me a few times to learn the universal cycling turn signals though, but I’ve got it down now). The only thing I didn’t miss was the pain in the toosh that bicycle seats bring. Our main motivation for riding bikes this week was to prepare ourselves for Tour de Cure this Sunday. I’ve been appointed team captain at my job, and we are riding along with my coworkers. I’m pleased so say that both Brandon and I have met our fundraising goals thanks to many of our friends family and coworkers! Thank you so much to each of you who donated on our behalf to diabetes research. We are so excited to ride this Sunday!
