Believe it or not, summer is just around the corner. (Finally!) This means afternoons in the sunshine, ice cold drinks and long evenings watching the sun go down by the fire. It also means I need to start shaving my legs again. Over the past month or so I’ve been trying out some new skincare products in preparation for the the summer, and here are the few that I’ve been loving lately.
1) eos vanilla bliss shave cream. In the past, I didn’t really use anything special to shave my legs. I’ve been known to literally use shampoo as a shave gel, and then live to regret it the next day as my legs became dry and itchy. Well not anymore! After watching this video by one of my favorite blogger/YouTubers, Essie Button, I knew I needed to try it! Let me tell you, this shave cream by eos, has completely changed my whole shaving experience. It doesn’t foam like a regular shave cream, it actually stays in it’s creamy form, moisturizing as you shave. Plus, the smell is no too vanilla-ey which I appreciate. Thank you Estée for sharing this lil gem.
2) Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. Since summer is coming, I’ve been trying to get a jump start on my tan without the damages that sitting in the sun or tanning bed bring. I read up on some tried and true sunless skincare products, and Real Simple actually named the Jergens ‘Natural Glow’ daily moisturizer as one of their top lotions for sunless tanning. So naturally (no pun intended) I decided to give it a try. After the first week of using this, it has given my skin a subtle tanner difference in tone, but not like a fake n’ bake look. Sometimes, I’ll even mix my regular daily lotion with this Jergens moisturizer if I want to tone it down a bit.
3) First Aid Beauty ‘Face Cleanser’. In hopes of getting into better face washing habits, I recently made a trip to Sephora in search of a new face cleanser. (I typically would only use a makeup removing wipe to wash my face- I know, so bad!) I have really been liking this face cleaner by First Aid Beauty and combined with my face moisturizer, (featured in this post) and the First Aid Beauty ‘Eye Duty Triple Remedy’ and I’ve been really happy with my results lately. If I remember to wash my face.
Tell me, what are some of your favorite summer skincare products? I’d love to try them!
