It’s crazy to think that last Thanksgiving Brandon and I were living in the basement of our friend’s house. I think back and remember how naive we were to think we would be finished by now, although I’m thankful that we have come such a long way. Last year at this time we just finished framing the upstairs of our house, and were working on putting in the plumbing lines for water. Each step of this process has been challenging, but even more rewarding to see everything we have accomplished together.
Above is a photo of our current “living room” upstairs while we continue to complete the work on the first floor. (We just finished installing the subfloor last night!) It’s been a long and dusty road, but I don’t think we would have it any other way!
This year I am thankful for a place to call home, and for the ability to work on it. I’m also grateful to each of the friends and family members who have supported us, and lent a helping hand in all the various projects that brought us this far. Thank you.
