This past month of home-ownership has been a complete whirlwind. A month? Already? It’s crazy, I know. Brandon and I have been really busy frantically preparing for foam insulation. We decided early on in this process, after pulling down piles mouse poop infested fiberglass and loose blown insulation, that we were going foam. In order to do so, we needed to pull out the existing walls and every.last.nail. in the each of the studs. We knew going into this, that purchasing an old house was going to be a lot of work, and this past month has certainly proved that.
Brandon and I are so incredibly blessed to have the support of our friends and family who have scrambled to help us- in particular Brandon’s buddy Dan, my father and my mother who not only has been helping with the demolition but she has brought us a warm meal almost everyday. Even my sister who was only here for only a day from out of town, came over and helped this week!
One major milestone done, several to go!
