Congratulations and welcome home to my lovely client Nancy, and her adorable rescue mix named Minnie! I recently had the pleasure of sitting beside Nancy as she closed on her new home just a few weeks ago. Nancy was referred to me by a local mortgage broker (thank you Mike!) We connected over the phone and she explained to me what she was looking for in a house. After emailing back and forth about properties, we met and began her search.
Searching for houses with Nancy was great because she was easy-going about the house hunting process. She kept saying “I trust you, I trust you!” Another great quality about her is that she was very open minded about the type of house she was willing to purchase. Together, we looked at a variety of house styles. She was optimistic about many of them.
One thing that stuck out to me about Nancy during this process was her enormous compassion for animals. Not only does she rescue dogs and cats, she fosters them until they find loving adoptive families. Nancy’s priority in a house was finding a space that not only suited her and her daughter, but would also work for her dogs and cat as well. She told me a story of how she adopted her dog Minnie after she was abandoned by her last owner. After meeting Minnie, I couldn’t understand why anyone would leave her- she is so sweet!
There were a couple houses that were great options for her, but in the end she settled on this house. It is in a great neighborhood near her friends. The house was recently remodeled and was empty, so it was move-in ready. I’m so happy for Nancy and I wish her all the best in her new home!
